Cake Day!

Apologies - very blurry hurried shot, before son ate them!

At Charlie's school every Friday it is Cake Day!  Each class take it turn to bring in homemade cakes to sell to the rest of the school, to raise money for that class for much needed equipment.

When I say the class 'makes', we all know that on a Thursday evening across Southville there are mums frantically rushing round Sainsbury's buying ingredients and working up a sweat baking cupcakes for their little darlings to take to school to sell.  Believe I have been there, not a happy mummy!

Today was the turn of the Nursery.  I actually was prepared... not that their are much ingredients in Chocolate Rice Crispy Cakes... but hey, I actually remembered and bought the right stuff last Wednesday (how the chocolate wasn't eaten before then, god only knows!).

So, yesterday morning Rufus and I made our little offerings.

He was actually trying to convince me that Lion had eaten the smarties, not him!

It has been so hot here (no not grumbling), the thought of baking was too much.  So fridge cooking was the only way forward.  Lots of other mums thought the same!  So Ashton Gate School were fed at 3.15pm with an assortment of chocolate crispy cakes...

Rufus' were the only ones with smarties!

Charlie was proud.

Have a great weekend xx
