This morning we went to our local Freecycle event, held in the local church. For those who do not know what Freecycle is, it is normally an online community space where people who no longer need items can post about it, and give things away to other people for free. A great way of keeping unwanted items out of landfills.
Our local Freecycle facilitators organised an event today for anyone who had stuff to get rid off {who hasn't?} to bring and leave it, and for other people to take if they wanted. A bit like a free jumble sale.
I emptied out my understairs cupboard and got rid of lots of old coats, too small wellies, a lampshade etc. And came away with:
2 x Kilner storage jars with red cherries & strawberries on the side, says made in Italy - lovely aren't they.
2 x A1 Clip Frames
3 x Childrens books - including a Ladybird Swiss Family Robinson story
1 x Mr Potato head
1 x Red sports car {sadly a toy version}
1 x Gruffalo cuddly toy
So all in all a good mornings work!
