Day 11.
What makes you happy.
Lots!
Cuddles with my kids.
Holding hands.
Allotment.
Sunshine on a cold day.
New shoes.
But at the moment and the thing that trumps the lot is - CLEAN SHEETS!
Oh yes, cannot wait to go to bed.
x
1. clean sheets
2. Dan
3. new moisturiser
Such beautiful sheets!!
ReplyDeleteBut where are the new shoes???
Good spotting.. no new shoes, sadly. It was a bit of a valentines hint to Dan. I wonder if he will pick up on it? (Doubt it!) x
DeleteTotally agree! Bet you can't wait for bedtime. BTW is your new blog header one of your designs? Very, very nice!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, Yes it is one of my designs. I have a few on the go, and hoping to get some prints out there in the shop soon. All very exciting. x
DeleteI LOVE clean sheets!!! such a great feeling. Enjoy your day - and your bedtime! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel... these sheets are sooo you! Vintage 70's floral! x
DeleteWell, especially clean, yellow, floral sheets! Joy!
ReplyDeleteI know. It's like waking up with warm sunshine beaming on you.... I might have to have an early night! x
DeleteI always have the best night's sleep after changing the bedding :-) Love your sheet by the way. x
ReplyDeleteThank you... yes me too. I really snuggle in. x
DeleteLovely sheets! I'm going to have to do the same now, you're right, you can't beat clean sheets : )
ReplyDeleteYes lets have a Saturday night - clean sheets night!
DeleteI have those sheets! I'm so pleased my mam kept all her bedding, this was almost a dust sheet till I caught her! Your new banner is really lovely! Did you draw it? You should start adding art to your shop! x
ReplyDeleteWhat noooooooo! Too special for dust sheets. I found this sheet in the charity shop, then I sewed it to a white duvet cover. I love it. Thanks for your comment about the header. Yes I did draw it. It is part of a winter woodland scene. I am slowly making some of my drawings into prints.. soon to appear in the shop! Watch this space! x
DeleteI love your sheets! I need to get me some of those!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Keep looking in charity shops, you might find one, just as I did. x
DeleteI found a duvet cover and pillow case of the same fabric in a Bristol charity shop also! It's going on my bed tonight, Sunday is clean sheets night for me (makes me feel a bit less Sunday Night Blue-ish...)
Deletep.s. hello, I've been reading your blog for a little while now as you seem to be a fellow Bristol-based vintage lover! I like it very much. x.
Hi Sarah-Kate! Thank you for finding me, (fellow Bristol chick), NO WAY! I am so jealous that you have matching sheet and pillow case. I wonder if they belong together and became lost along the way? Now there's a story! Thanks you for your kind comments. Do you live near me? Bedminster? x
DeleteThanks for the reply! I'm in St Werburghs, just moved to our first home a month ago and absolutely love it, so nice to have a house after living in a tiny flat for 5 years, at the moment I'm in a permanent state of excitement over all the decorating possibilities! Your home looks lovely x
DeleteOh, can I join in?! What makes me happy - The thought of another day of the weekend to spend with my love, my daughter laughing when tickled, cake made by friends, pinterest (an addiction some might say!), clear crisp days, hot showers on cold mornings, new slippers (so old!), planning day trips to see friends, receiving hand written letters through the post, the daffs I currently have in a teapot (we are living in a house waiting for renovation so have unpacked very little!).
ReplyDeleteOk, finished butting in!
Butt away! Lovely list of happiness you have there... just think of what you will be happy about once you've done some renovation work! x
Deletefresh sheets are the best! I used to dress my bed to perfection, since I do it at my job all the time (I run a Zara Home www.zarahome.com)It always took so long, but now there's a new trend in bedding..un-iorned sheets...saves me so much time :-))
ReplyDeleteWow you run Zarahome?! Loveliness indeed! Oh I don't bother ironing sheets.. too much like hard work. I love smell of clean sheets but the neatness of it isn't so much an issue. x
DeleteNew clean sheets is the best thing EVER. I look forward to going to bed with new clean sheets.
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian - yes.. I might have to put clean sheets on every night if this keeps up. Maybe in the summer that would be nice. Sheets can dry in a day during high summer. x
DeleteAh, clean sheets, I am with you there. All the way! Would quite like an allotment one day, too...
