Today we having been hanging out at home.
Doing little jobs... cleaning the car, mountains of laundry etc
I've quite enjoyed it.
On my way back from saying goodbye to Tree and Books yesterday, I stopped off at my local furniture junk shop.. (if you are in Bristol and know where I mean, there are some great treasures in there at the moment!).
I found this chair!
I love it. I don't think it's designer or teak or something special, but I love it's shape and the back rest.
I've given it a good clean today as it was covered in sticky stuff - ergh!
And it looks right at home now.
I just need 3 others to make the look complete.
Hope you guys are enjoying your Sunday... I am now off to the park for a run around.

Lovely chair Lou. And what a great Spring windowbox you've done - so cheerful alongside your yellow door! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen, yes we are very pink & yellow clash over here! x
DeleteSuch a nice chair, and it looks so nice and bright there today! Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThank you! There are 2 more similar mid century in style there, plus a sideboard and tiny dresser with a mirror... I could have spent lots! x
DeleteIt is nice to you, a quiet atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteGood week to you!
Thank you! and a good week to you too! x
DeleteReally lovely chair Lou, I did the same last year - one by one got rid of our old heavy Edwardian dining chairs (by leaving them in the street with a 'free to a good home' sign on them) and replaced them with mismatched mid-century from local junk shops. Now that I know there are treasures lurking I'll have to go and have a rummage! x
ReplyDeleteOoo yeah Rachel, you know where I mean, next to that bike shop down the road..;)

DeleteOh yes, do pop back to the shop - that print is so you!

The chair is lush. But oh I love your yellow front door. I tried to persuade my husband that a yellow door is needed - he is having none of it. Tut.
