Creative Juice - Winter Solstice Lanterns...

Winter Solstice is only a few days away.  Marking the mid-point through the year.  A time celebrate the darkest shortest day with a huge family feast and to light many, many candles.

A few years ago, the boys and I made our own Solstice lanterns.  Using scraps of tissue paper, jam jars and pva glue.  They glow so beautifully when lit at night.  This year we are making some more using glass pens, I can't wait to see the results.

It may be cold and gloomy outside, but inside it will be all a glow.

  1. These look so lovely with all the colours glowing - as we've discovered we like painting jam jars this year, we might make a solstice lantern! Bet your boys' glass pen lanterns will look great too x
