Dreaming of a summer filled with camping under the stars..

I cannot wait for summer camping with friends.
Balmy days spent dreaming of cool ices, playing rounders, swimming in the river, sipping sundowners, the smell of woodsmoke as you cook your evening meal.  The laughter and shouts of happy children as they play in the nearby woods.  Mugs of cocoa and toasted marshmallows.  Star gazing and breathing lung fulls of fresh air.
I love it so very much.
In my mind the sun is always smiling, just a gentle breeze too cool ones skin, and most definitely no rain.
I've been pinning my camp heaven.
Do you do that?  Pin an ideal world?

Where do you go camping?  Do they allow a fire? (tell me of your secret camping spot, I promise I won't tell!).

Hello how are you all this blue monday?
I hope you are all ignoring this dumb fact - I dunno why this day is the most depressing than any other!
Did you have a good weekend? I hope so.
This weekend I found a dried up banana skin hiding under Rufus' bed (ergh!), yes I know what does that say about my cleaning skills?!!  No comment.
But it made me look at the boys room with fresh eyes.
We only decorated it two years ago but my golly it has become tired.  The boys have rubbed their toys up the walls which have left coloured scratch marks. Plus their sticking up of pictures and pulling them down has left sticky marks.
I haven't told Dan yet, but a lick of paint could be in order!
I am loving trawling through Pinterest for inspiration.  My children's spaces board is here.
What do you think?  A climbing wall a bit much?

how cute!

Good morning y'all!
It's Thursday, gosh weeks are zipping by over here.
It's a gloomy ole day here, drizzle and grey.  I was hoping for a morning at the allotment, but I'm not going up there in this weather - fair weather gardener me!
What I would really like to do is curl up on the sofa, cuddling Ru, reading a book and sipping green tea from one of these GORGEOUS cups.
Oh how perfect would that be...

bows..

Just lately I've been hankering after a bow for my hair.
I had one on my xmas list but for some reason it was not bought.
I love the bright yellow one that Nell makes, she is one super talented knitter!
I also love the many versions of the red one over at Dolly Knits too.
What a great way to brighten the winter days with a bright happy bow upon my head? yes?
Do you think it will suit me?
I love that last pic... what gorgeous girls in their happy bows!
Yes... I NEED a bright bow to get me through winter... just need some funds to pay for it!

Good morning!
How are we all today?
The weather here in Bristol has taken a downward turn and is feeling more like October... a slight chill and a bit damp... but that's kinda cool..it means I can now start thinking of cosy knit projects, winter boots and jumpers.

Tuesday's usually mean an Etsy treasury of some sort, but I thought I would mix it up a bit today and give you some of my latest pins instead.
I mentioned in my last post, that this weekend we painted our house white.
Since then my head has been filled with the dilemma of door colours... what colour shall we paint the door?
Yellow or green?
What do you think?
What colour is your front door?

It is such a grey day here today.
I have just picked Charlie up from school and was soaked to the skin in the biggest down pour of the day.
Why does it always do that at 3.15? - note to self, always carry a brolly in this weather.
I am need of some sunshine - my washing does too, it's hanging their soaked through on the line!
Some sunny yellows for you on a grey day... hope the sun is shining where you are.

In just under a month it will be my birthday.
This birthday is supposed to be a big one - a milestone.
I don't see it really, I suppose I'm in denial a bit!
But that doesn't stop me having fun in a bit of birthday wish listing.
So here is part 1 of what will be a looooong list, as there are so many cute things out there!
Now, dont all rush out and get me one...I know you want to!

p.s. my list is on my pinterest if you are wondering, Dan!

I must admit I am little bit  enamoured with Pinterest.  In fact I can get extremely carried away!  The other night I saw on Hilda Grahnat's blog how amazing her plates were.  And so I pinned them.  Then this started a frenzy of pinning anything ceramic which had interesting designs or decals.  I got quite carried away, it didn't go unnoticed either! (you know who you are Mrs E B!)

Have you discovered the joy of pinning?  What have you pinned recently.... should we be following each others boards?  Please let me know.....

p.s. I found all these images via pinterest and have found the original source of the image.
